Information the app does not collect

The app does not collect, transmit or store any personal information on our systems. There is no account creation, no sign in, no user profile, and no server-side database for this app. We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking technologies or profiling, and the app does not include any third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell or share personal data.

Location information

If you grant the app permission to use your location, it uses that location for one purpose only: to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction for where you are. Location data is processed on your device and, if you choose a saved location, stored locally on your device. It is never sent to PeopleTrixAI servers, because the app has none. You can also set a location manually instead of using your device's location.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps the following information in local storage on your device only:

This data never leaves your device. There is no cross-device sync and no backup to our systems.

Compass and device sensors

To point you towards the Qibla, the app can read your device's compass and orientation sensors. These sensor readings are used locally, in real time, and are never recorded or uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

Prayer reminders are optional. If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device to help you keep to your prayer times. You can disable reminders at any time in the app's settings or in your device's notification settings. Notifications are generated on your device and we do not send you messages through a server.

Permissions

The app asks only for the permissions it needs, and you stay in control of them:

Location (approximate or precise)

Used only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. Optional — you can decline or revoke it and enter a location manually instead. The app does not use background location.

Notifications

Used only for optional local prayer reminders. You can decline or disable them at any time without affecting the rest of the app.

Internet access

Like any Android app, Miqat Salah & Qibla runs on a platform that may have internet access at the operating-system or runtime level. However, the app's prayer-time and Qibla calculations and its data storage are handled entirely on your device, and the app does not upload your personal data to PeopleTrixAI or to anyone else.

Data retention and deletion

Because all app data is stored locally, it remains on your device until you change it, clear it in the app or your device's settings, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data in accordance with your device's operating system. There is no copy of your data held by us to delete, so if you would like us to erase anything, there is nothing to erase — but you are still welcome to contact us using the details below.

Children

Miqat Salah & Qibla is a general-audience utility app suitable for anyone who wants to keep to their prayer times. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — or from any user of any age — because the app does not collect personal information at all.
